High School: Don’t Dare Dissent
Published by michael November 12th, 2004 in politics, lawYou would think the Secret Service would be busy handling more serious business. Boing Boing reports today that they’re hassling kids for choosing to play the classic Dylan tune “Masters of War.”
Parents and students say they are outraged and offended by a proposed band name and song scheduled for a high school talent show in Boulder this evening, but members of the band, named Coalition of the Willing, said the whole thing is being blown out of proportion.
Nice name! I’d pay to download their version of the song. Reminiscent of the school who forbade any display of Kerry support at a Bush rally.
