Marines to Aid Workers: Stay Out of Fallujah

I am safe today, and I give thanks. Violence against the people in Fallujah does nothing to make me (or anyone) safer. Even if it did, violence is the weapon of the weak. I am following this war battle by battle now, and I am hoping daily for it to end. What are our pretenses for this unjust war? (You cannot ask this question too often) Now we are denying aid workers entry to the wounded?
US troops have directed the convoy, carrying emergency food, water and medical supplies into the Falluja hospital on the outskirts of the town, away from the reach of local citizens. “They will not be allowed to cross the bridge today,” Captain Adam Collier said at Falluja hospital…
“We know of at least 157 families inside Falluja who need our help,” said Iraqi Red Crescent spokeswoman Firdus al-Ubadi.
Do the Marines really believe the civilians are out or is that just the official party line? 157 families is quite a bit different from zero. A message to the generals: bring them home now please, leave Iraq immediately, or request assistance with the disaster you’ve created.
